[info]sunrise_sets! Have a great day, doll! *hugs*

I tried to tint my hair black today, all by myself for the first time in years. Not sure where it went wrong, but that's not black. Luckily not green or old lady purple either. :P
The rest of the time I was battling with the calendar walls, couldn't make up my mind. *g* That was after I slept only a few hours cause those friggin' birds outside wouldn't shut up. It sounded like they were murdering each other, and try not to be intrigued by that. *gg*

So, first batch of December walls. Something dark for a change. ;D

I'm going to extend this challenge for another week, as there are only four entries at the moment. So no voting today, you have until next Saturday to enter both Challenge #74 (Newman/Taylor) and Challenge #75 (a multitude of pandas).

Supernatural

an apple a day by [info]estrella30
Dean starts eating healthy. Sam freaks out. Adorable and full of "aw, boys."

The Boy Made of Paper by [info]kellifer_fic
He woke from an accident in a hospital bed without his name or any idea what had happened to him but he still knew basic things like how to tie his shoes. He could read, more than one language apparently, and write, cook a mean leftover surprise and make most cocktails which had the nurses at the hospital speculating about his previous career. / Essential, day to day things had stayed in his brain but everything else... Lovely, melancholy amnesia fic. (Wincest)

Mistaken for Strangers by [info]bellatemple
"Dean Winchester. As I live and breathe." / "Told you I'd see you around." / She tucked the spray can back away in her purse and slung it over her head and across her chest. "Yeah," she said. "I guess you did." Enjoyable story about a girl Dean runs into over the years. Coda of sorts for 5.09, though only vaguely spoilery for the ep itself.

Crossovers

Iron Man/Dollhouse

Succession by [info]amonitrate
Brilliantly creepy Iron Man/Dollhouse crossover.

Psych/Supernatural

(Fear) The Reaper by [info]baylorsr
"It's a fortress, Dad," Shawn said. "For the zombie apocalypse," Gus added eagerly. "Well, that's no good," Henry said. "Boys, a zombie fortress needs to be unbreachable. Zombies are unresting, unflagging, untiring undead machines with only one goal: to eat your brains. You think this flimsy construct is going to stop them?" Shawn and Gus stumble over some zombies. Sam and Dean show up to help. Hilarity ensues.

White Collar/Leverage

"You know it would never work out between you, right? I mean, you're a hacker and she's..." / "She's a TrackerPAL Mark Three," said Hardison with a trace of wistful longing. "I've never seen one of these up close. She heavy?" / Good humor fled under cover of darkness. "Like rocks in my soul." Hee! Perfectly voiced Leverage/White Collar crossover. I would love to see the Leverage crew meet up with Neal Caffrey.

Contractual Obligations: A Love Story in Three Traffic Lights by [info - personal] shaenie
"You would never cheat on Elizabeth," he says. / The light turns green, and Peter has to look away, but he doesn't hesitate. "There are exemption situations," he says mildly. / He doesn't elucidate, but that's okay because Neal is already repeating, "Exemption situations?" with baffled disbelief. "Exemptions?" / "Yeah," Peter agrees. / "Like, exemptions on your taxes?" / [...] Neal huffs out something that's not quite laughter. "What could 'exemption situations' even be?" Adorable look at Peter (and Elizabeth) and Neal negotiating their relationship.

Two Hundred and Eight Weeks by [info - personal] elandrialore
Utterly lovely and mostly plausible Neal/Peter/Elizabeth. "This isn't exactly the first time Neal's been in our bed, is it?" / Her lips are curved in amusement and Peter thinks back to three years worth of nights he'd stayed awake chasing Neal the first time; piles of files and photos spilling out over the bed in a frustrated mess, and Neal Caffrey's laughing eyes staring back at him. / But there's a vast difference between papers spread out in their bed and Neal Caffery spread out in their bed, all pale skin and angles that cut deeper than any paper could dream. / "This is different," Peter insists, and her smile grows. / "Yes," she says, "it is."

She leans forward. / His breath stops. His heart stops. / She kisses him on the forehead. / Time stops. / Penny's hair brushes his face. Her palms are on his cheeks, thumbs firmly hooked on his jawline. Her lips are soft and strong. She smells half like soap and half like skin and she kisses him right on the forehead. / "There!" Penny jumps back cheerfully. "Did it work?" / "Oh," Sheldon says softly. Sheldon realizes he's in love with Penny, but Penny is with Leonard. And there's an apocalypse. Lovely.

"Can't keep up?" she remarked, facing his scowl without expression. Alec rolled his eyes. "We're on safe ground," he replied. "We don't need to sprint." "Doesn't mean we can't," Max said, and she crouched, sprang, and cleared the top of the barbwire fence. She didn't check to see if Alec would follow, because she knew he always would. Lovely look at Max and Alec, keeping on.

The USS Breakfast at Tiffany's by [info]igrockspock
None of it is really right for her, except the car, which looks both battered and sturdy, just like she feels. She traces the letters on the movie poster carefully with a single finger and decides that her car's namesake is the second best thing that she owns. It was charity too, she supposes, but given directly to her because she liked it, not discarded because some woman wanted to clean out her closet. It is also the only thing she's ever owned that did not serve some specific purpose, and this is something she can't say even for the car. She has it only because she liked it and wanted it, and it will be the first thing she hangs in her dorm room when she gets to the Academy in two weeks. A car, a road trip and a movie poster: Gaila, upon arriving on earth. Lovely. *sniffle*

Harry Potter

Little Red Courgette by [info]blamebrampton
When this season's purple courgettes are woefully thin, Draco Malfoy thinks it amounts to small beans. Next thing he knows, the Department of Standards is over-run with leeks, Brussels sprouts all sorts of legislative difficulties, and somebody appears to have put a roquette under Harry Potter. Can Draco seize a marrow victory? Or will his plans for peas be squashed? Hilarious rom com filled with awful vegetable puns and a sweet, snarky Harry/Draco romance.

Theft of Assets, Destruction of Property by [info]helenish
So Neville is blackmailed into marrying Draco, and they have to sort out their marriage of convenience. Slow, sweet and achy, and containing one of my favorite tropes ever (Draco learns to cook).

Quiet weekend, which is good cause next week is full of plans (fun!) and work (not so fun), and I just realized we're almost at the beginning of December. Which means wallpapers. And that I have the feeling I missed something inbetween today and last christmas. ;D
Btw, requests for christmas icons are still possible. I'm looking especially at you, mutual flist, cause I might end up making something for you anyway, whether you want it or not. ;)
And something that made my day, since I love Star Trek and used to happily watch The A-Team when I was little. ;) Star Trek 2009 A-Team. *g*
ETA: Up for grabs. ;)

As for the SPN weekend - no icons today (you wouldn't have guessed, eh? ;D), but a picspam. ;)

I'm tired, even though I tried my best not to wake up this morning. ;) I had one of those dreams that are a bit like your very own action movie (with mystery elements *g*), and I loved it. It probably wouldn't make sense if I'd try to write it down, but for me it was awesome. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? *g*
On a random note: Looks like I have some invites for Google Wave. Haven't fully figured that whole thing out yet, but if anyone wants one let me know. ;D
Anyway, snagged this little comment help from [info]cologne_chick. ;D click )

Scans from Lorna (Rachel Weisz, Gerard Butler, Daniel Craig). And random shoots. ;D Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Roseanne (I loved that show when I was younger!), Gerard Butler, Fall Out Boy, Anton Yelchin, Maggie Grace, Viggo Mortensen, Hayden Christensen, Megan Fox, Christian Bale and Ioan Gruffudd.

Had a nice night out with friends yesterday, though I'm really a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. *g* And remember that guy who asked me whether I was taking my dog for a walk while I was doing exactly that? We have a long history of meeting in trains (meetings I'm not exactly keen on), and of course I have to run into him at 0:30am at the train station. I'm cursed. <.< >.>

Anyway, have some Narnia related icons. ;D Voyage of the Dawn Treader included, but they should be non-spoilery. :D

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Yes, it is my least favorite holiday because it's not long enough and I'm not terribly fond of the food (except the stuffing and the mashed potatoes and the pie, hooooo yes you will be in my belly tonight), but this year Mr. B and I are on a road trip with Sophie to go see my family in Maine.

I'm typing on Gay Deceiver at the Red Roof Inn in Rutland, VT, which is where we always stay during such adventures, and I have to be quick because we're leaving soon to go meet up with [info]ameranth and her dog Anna for a few hours before we go off to eat with our families.

BUT. Of course you knew I couldn't let the extended BRADLEY AND COLIN ROADTRIP OF EPIC EPICNESS go by without commenting on it just a wee bit.

Sharing the earbuds while driving!

Colin in a beanie!

Bradley in a jacket I hope is not actual leather!

Ridiculous graphic versions of them that look like the beginning of a baby show on TLC!

Bradley driving a Ford Focus while Colin navigates!

Looking for water or ley lines...?

Colin: ...and doing some odd things in the dark.
Bradley: *turns into my grandfather for a moment* harumphump. Yes. Well.

Bradley actually understanding what Colin is saying when, for a brief moment, I am completely lost because his accent goes waaaaaaay North!

Bradley reminding me that I would really like Bill Nighy to play his dad sometime, on some show or other, because occasionally his voice sounds like Bill Nighy's and I think that would be the funniest thing EVER!

Too fun. They are such silly men.

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! I am extra thankful this year because my brother Brian is safely back in the States. Yay!

The weather in Scotland SUCKS! It's windy and wet over here. It doesn't exactly go well with my cold.

Was in London over the weekend at an Amnesty Local Groups Fundraisers Advisory Group. Was really inspiring. Had loads of ideas for next year! Also made me realise how lucky I am to be a member of such a dynamic and fun Amnesty local group.

My sister called me last night, apparently to settle some debate with old classmates over what class we were actually in (you know, the 'numbering' system... 4b, 7.3). Things:

1. Why is there not a Merlin femmeslash community? Or is there one and I just missed it? Because I would like to post the latest fic in some kind of community and the only applicable ones I've found so far are [info]merlinslash or [info]merlin_rarepair, which would be fine but there's no incest warning, leading me to believe Morgana/Morgause would probably not be welcome there. At any rate, no matter what there should really be a femmeslash community.

There totally is a femmeslash community-- thank you, [info]merlin_femslash!

2. You should go read what [info]yorkshirewench just posted about the EPIC BRADLEY AND COLIN ROAD TRIP. There are pictures. Bradley manages to look really, really good despite the scraggle. Colin always looks good, so nothing surprising there. Looks like Colin is the Map Man on this trip, which is probably a good thing as Bradley with a map could only lead to accidental-ending-up-in-Dublin hijinks.

3. Spoilery photos for a future episode are up, and all I can say is: Yes, DO WANT, please.

4. Oh, right, NaNoWriMo. Damn. I haven't written in like a week. I'm taking my laptop with me to Maine when we go for Thanksgiving, but I still don't think there's any way I'm making up the 20,000 words or so I have left to reach 50,000. We'll see. I keep getting distracted by other writing.
